Remembering Linda Louise Turner
Linda Louise Turner, 83, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, in Hastings, Michigan.
Born July 16, 1943, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Ralph and Pauline Ames, Linda then graduated from Wyoming Park High School, and she lived a life centered around her family and the people she loved. She was a kind, gentle, and generous soul and a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally.
Linda raised her family in Wyoming, Michigan, where she ran a daycare from her home, allowing her to be home while raising her own children. She always took pride in looking her best and loved trying new makeup, having her hair done, and keeping her nails polished.
In her later years, Linda shared many cherished moments and adventures with her partner, Carl, who passed away six months ago. Together they traveled out West, spent time in Florida, enjoyed boating in Grand Haven, and took sunset drives along the lakeshore. Linda especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, having them for sleepovers and taking them out for ice cream.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Gina) Turner and Tami (Bill) VanEgmond; grandchildren, Holly (Mark) Hofman, Autumn Turner, Kayla (Michael) Koning, and Kara (Devan) Dekker; and her four great-grandchildren; her brother, Bruce (Dawna) Ames; and sisters, Patsy Evans and Marlene (Larry) Alberda.
Linda will be deeply missed and remembered for her gentle spirit and her love for her family.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Thornapple Manor and Elara Caring (hospice) for the kindness and compassionate care they provided Linda.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will take place at a later date.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan.
