Linda Arendsen

Linda Lou Arendsen, age 80, of Allendale, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 25, 2022. Linda was a graceful, strong, and independent woman who loved people and was a devoted follower of the Lord. She was an extremely hard worker, helping to provide for her family’s needs. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren passionately, she was always very protective of them, and she spent countless hours cheering them on from the stands at their sporting events. Toward the end of Linda’s life, she began to struggle with health issues but through it all she never lost faith in the Lord and continued to pray through all of the hard times. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Jeff Stroven; great-grandson, Max Moran; parents, Wilber and Luella Wierda; parents-in-law, Kenneth and Lillian Arendsen; and brother, Doug Wierda. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David; children, David Jr. and Brenda Arendsen, Kris and Curt Moran, Lynnea and Jay MacGeorge; grandchildren, Joshua Stroven, Jordan Stroven, Curtis Jr. (Lauren) Moran, Tyler (Melissa) Moran, Alexandria (Adam) Coles, Kyle (Courtney) Arendsen, Ashley Moran, Megan Arendsen, Mikala (Anthony) Gualtieri; great-grandchildren, Sidric, Gavin, Sawyer, Kenleigh, Elias, Paityn, Norah, Bennett, Avery; sisters, Roberta (Jerry) Harmsen, Laurie (Terry) Finkler; sister-in-law, Lucy Wierda, Bonnie (Ron) Van Dam; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale, with Rev. Jim Maness officiating. The burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, March 6, from 4-6 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
