Lillian Cooper

On August 30, 2024, just two weeks shy of Lillian’s 94th birthday, God reached down and said, “Lillian it’s time to come home to me”. In her mind she still had flowers to care for, pictures to color and lots more visits with the family. Lil’ was so much fun. Loved by many and never complained. Lil’ had her share of hardships but in spite of them, or maybe because of them, she always found the fun in life. And it was contagious. She found delight in the first snow of November and saw no reason to confine Christmas to just one season. When it came to Christmas and flowers, she felt you could never have too much. Her creativity in her garden and home was legendary and inspired all who were lucky enough to experience it. Her work ethic was beyond strong. It motivated her well into her later years. She treasured each and every grandchild, always there to joke with them or bring them something a little special. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Cooper; and infant son, Todd Hart. Lil’ is survived by her, son,  Richard (Judith) Hart and his family, grandchildren: Eric (Rebecca) Hart, Rachel (Garret) Dreher; great-grandchildren: Lydia Hart, Caroline Hart, Camden Dreher; son,  Randall (Janice) Hart and his family, grandchildren: Jamie (Heather) Hart , Andrea (Brad) Hill , Ashley Hart; great-grandchildren: Sydnie Hart, Mackinley Hart, Peyton Hill, Davis Hill; son, Gary Hart; daughter, Tammi (Brock) Mahler and her family, grandchildren: Johnathan (Taylor) Mahler, Mitchell (Victoria) Mahler; great-grandchildren: Thatcher Mahler, Eli Mahler. According to Lil’s wishes, no services will be held and cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the caring staff from Sheldon Meadows of Hudsonville for their love and friendship to Lillian over the past several years “she loved you all” and to Corewell Health Hospice for providing wonderful care.
