Lewis Vincent

Mr. Lewis G Vincent aged 73 of Grand Rapids, lost his battle with cancer on Friday, March 24, 2017. His parents, Luke and Goldie Vincent, and his wife Heidi Vincent preceded him in death. Surviving are his 4 children, 9 grandchildren plus significant others, and 12 great grandchildren. Children and families: Carolyn Hiar, and her children; Carissa & Gregg Rottman, (Brody, Patton, Gunnar), Kenn Hiar II & Jenn, (Richell, Conner, Bayleigh, Vanessa) Brenda Vincent and her children; Jeffrey Hulbert II, Courtney Hulbert & Brandon Pam Waidelich and her children; Matthew Waidelich II & Jenn (Preston, Emery), Jackie Waidelich & Will (Lexi, Dakoda, Jaxson), Sammy Waidelich Lewie Vincent and his children Cody Hondered, Kenzie Hondered Mr. Vincent had 9 siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Lewis was a hardworking man, who always provided for his family, and put his family first! He always found a way to help anyone in his family, with repairs, homework, special projects, or anything else that may be needed. Becoming a Grandfather was a very special gift for Lewis, and he adored each of his Grandchildren, and was then blessed later in life with Great Grandchildren! Lewis was very good when it came to working with his hands and wood! He designed and built a plant table for his wife, made many picture frames to honor his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed working with leather, creating one of a kind leather wallets. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 28 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE, with Chaplain Mark O'Reilly and Pastor Nathan Wagner officiating. His family will greet relatives and friends on Monday from 5 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
