Lester Curtiss,

Mr. Lester C. Curtiss Sr., age 94 went to be with his Lord, on Tuesday evening, January 17, 2012. Lester was preceded by his wife, Laura and granddaughter, Kimberly McCarty. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Judy McCarty and Lester Jr. and Sandy Curtiss; his grandchildren, Nate and Tammy McCarty, Diane McCarty, Gary and Jody McCarty, Laura and Curt Cookingham, Shelly and Dave O'Connor, and Craig and Stacey Curtiss; 14 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters in law, Ruth Curtiss, Robert Tumbling, Fred and Betty Jensen. Lester enjoyed spending time in his garden and tending to the birds and squirrels in his backyard. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, with Rev. David McKellar officiating. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. His family will greet relatives and friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday evening at the funeral chapel.
