Leona Krol

Leona (Piper) Krol, age 89, went to be with her Savior and Lord on April 30, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her son, Harold John; brothers, Jay, Adrian, Bernie and Rich Piper; brothers-in-law, Seymour and Edward Krol; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Krol, Dorothy and Edith Piper. Surviving are her daughters, Linda (Joseph) Brinks, Marlene (Robert) Vander Veen, Debra (Lary) Doezema; daughter-in-law, Vondalee (David) Van Beek; 19 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marian Pyper, Tressa Piper, Alma Krol; many nieces and nephews. Leona was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a faithful follower of her Lord who lived out her Christian faith. She exemplified Christ by the life she lived and the service she gave to so many.  Leona worked alongside her husband at Jenison Christian School for many years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 am at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin, Jenison, with Dr. Rev. Joseph A. Brinks officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5 to 8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and on Tuesday from 10-10:45 am at the church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jenison Christian School or Faith Hospice. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Sunset Reflections and to Amy and Nicole the Hospice nurses for their loving care of our Mom.
