Leobardo Garcia

Leobardo Garcia, age 88, of Grand Rapids passed on to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Guadalupe Garcia; mother, Maria Rodriguez; and son, Leobardo Garcia, Jr. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Lidia Gonzalez of 50 years; son, Carlos Gonzalez; daughter, Martha Garcia; son, Jorge Gonzalez; daughter, Rosalinda Gonzalez; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers and his sister; along with many nieces and nephews. Leobardo will be remembered as a jack of all trades who spent much of his time helping those around him. He enjoyed spending time with others, cooking, and entertaining at large gatherings. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 6 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, 3138 Birchwood Avenue S.W., Wyoming, MI with Father Jose Quintana officiating. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, December 5, 2022 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 Division Avenue, Wyoming, MI from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., with a rosary immediately following the visitation, and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the family to assist with funeral costs.
