Remembering Lenus “Len” Bourdon
Len Bourdon, age 69, of Wyoming, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 6, 2026. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, and tender-hearted man whose life was marked by quiet compassion and unwavering generosity. Blessed with a true servant's heart, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, often placing the needs of others before his own. His family was the center of his life, and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with those he loved. A man of strong character and an exceptional work ethic, he approached every task with dedication and integrity. His generous spirit extended far beyond his own community, as he was a proud sponsor of children in Somalia, faithfully supporting them and making a meaningful difference in their lives. He found joy in life's simple pleasures. He took great pride in his garden and was especially particular about maintaining a beautiful yard. He enjoyed the thrill of antiquing, the hobby of stamp collecting, and appreciated the quiet moments and simple blessings that filled each day. His faith was the foundation of his life. As a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Grand Rapids, he lived out his beliefs through humble service, kindness, and love for others. His gentle spirit, selfless heart, and unwavering devotion to his family and his faith will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of compassion, generosity, faith, and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Olive Bourdon. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Theresa Bourdon; his children, Nick and Kim Janowiak (Autumn, Donovan, Meriah), Joseph and Jen Bourdon (Brady, Aubrey, Kennedy), Sarah Jarchow (Alyssa, Mary, Madeline); brothers and sisters, Albert and Gloria Bourdon, Linda and Kenneth Stawowy, Terry Bourdon, Rodney Bourdon, Kevin Bourdon, Kathleen Droelle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Joel Janowiak, Vincent (Denise - deceased) Janowiak, Diana and Doug Anderson, Virginia and Jim Pelton; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 151 Garfield Ave SW (corner of Park and Garfield), Grand Rapids, with Fr.
