Ruiz, Lazaro Rogelio Lazaro Rogelio Ruiz, age 84, of Hudsonville, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 18, 2013.  He was a strong man of faith with a kind spirit.  His legacy of encouragement, determination and deep faith will be remembered by all.  Lazaro’s love and commitment to his family was very evident and will be forever treasured.  He now joins his wife of 53 years, Hilda, who preceded him in 2007.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Roger and Maureen Ruiz, Hilda and Charles Crane, Gloria Ruiz; grandchildren, Theresa and Bryan Holtvluwer, Danielle Ruiz, Heather Fountain, Amber Kornelis, Blake Kornelis, Casey Ruiz, Chase Kornelis; step grandchildren, Emily and Tom Lutke, Kara Crane, Ben Crane, Nicole Scott, Matthew Scott; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Yolanda Capestany; special lifelong friends, Jose and Clarivel Cadahia; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11 am at First Hudsonville Christian Reformed Church, 5486 32nd Ave., Hudsonville, with Rev. David Jolman officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Munson Hospice House.
