Lawrence J. Vokoviak

Lawrence Vokoviak (aka Larry Kovak), age 86, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, and has joined his golf buddies in the great beyond. Larry was born on January 5, 1936, to Emil and Genevieve Vokoviak in Grand Rapids, MI, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He spent most of his career in machinery sales and was the former owner of Kenowa Industrial Sales. Larry had many friends because of his charismatic personality that let him converse with many people. Over the years, Larry enjoyed the 60’s, 70’s and jazz music, dancing, and of course his golf game. Because of his determination and resilient spirit he was able to survive a brain aneurysm/stroke for 26 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marge; and his brothers, Ray, Stanley, and Tony. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Eleonore (Lore); daughters, Kim (John) Barnas and Kathryn Lynn; his step daughters, Janna, and Carrie; his brother, Jim (Jackie); 3 very special nieces and 1 nephew.
