Lawrence Faragalli III, 46, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Larry was a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend to so many. He was a dreamer and visionary who worked tirelessly to bring his dreams to life. His intellect and curiosity knew no bounds, and his thoughtfulness and generosity were exemplary. As co-founder of Brightly, he led with kindness, patience, and strength. He shared his wisdom generously, making him a natural mentor to family and friends alike. He was always the first to lend a hand or an ear in times of need.

Larry loved traveling and sharing new experiences with his beloved wife, Susan. He had an insatiable appreciation and appetite for life’s finer things — music, art, food, fashion, and more. Throughout his life, Larry was driven by an eagerness to explore new interests and hobbies, mastering many of them along the way. His gifts and talents were abundant. Above all, he brought joy and warmth to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loretta Sanford, Elizabeth and Lawrence Faragalli, and his beloved pups, Murphy and Shadow. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Susan; mother Judy (Bryan) Gibson; father Larry (Priscilla) Faragalli Jr.; brothers Christian Faragalli, Ryan (Elly Cotton) Heisler, and Jaden Gibson; brother-in-law Mike Pettit; nephew Liam Pettit; and his adored pups, Luna and Kaylee.

A visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm, on Thursday, November 13, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My prayers and thoughts go out for Larry and his family. I am his cousin David. As a child we hung out mostly at family gatherings and around the holidays. With deepest condolences and sympathy to his family during these difficult times. It’s been quite some decades that I have seen him or his family. From what I recall he was an extremely kind loving person and his time on this earth was cut very short. May the lord Jesus comfort you always. Rest in peace Larry and may your soul continue it’s amazing presence in everyone’s life that you knew.

I remember, many years ago, meeting Larry for the first time while visiting his mom Judy at her house. Jaden was playing with my daughter Emily in the backyard on a swingset as we visited on the back deck. Somehow Jaden fell off his swing and began to cry. Without a thought, Larry jumped off the deck, scooped Jaden up in his arms and comforted his little brother. Maya Angelou said "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." And it took only this first time meeting Larry... to see his true character and love of family. A bright light that will truly be missed. Much love and comfort to Judy, Susan, Jaden, Ryan, Christian, Brian and the rest of the family and friends during this extremely difficult time.

Larry had an extraordinary ability to see people for who they truly were, and to believe in them without needing much explanation. He understood things intuitively, whether it was art, ideas, or people. He was the first person to commission a very large cyanotype artwork from me. I hadn’t met him prior to that, but I could tell he understood my work without me needing to explain it to him. There was a soul connection. Larry said it resonated with him instantly, and that moment of connection remains a great honor to me. This was one of the loveliest ways I’ve ever had a friendship begin over the business of art. I felt completely seen and understood from the beginning. I’m just sad that our time together was so short. He got under my skin in the best of ways. He saw my struggles and pushed me to make changes in my life that I didn’t think were possible, or that I was too jaded to even try. That’s who he was: someone who inspired growth simply by being himself. Larry was brilliant, driven, and full of heart. A fellow dog-person. He could make me laugh when I least expected it and challenged me to think in new ways. His mix of intensity and warmth made him unforgettable. His friendship and mentorship meant (and still means) the world to me. I’ll miss his curiosity and his faith in what others could create. The moment I learned of his passing, my world felt dimmer. I know he wouldn’t want me to feel like this forever, so I’ll carry the light of his memory and everything he taught me wherever I go.
