I just found out about Vern’s passing and was very saddened to hear. He always made me feel so welcomed when I was selling or buying hay or at the horse auctions! Whether you knew him for decades as I did or just a short time he always had a smile and made you feel good. He will be missed by many..a truly kind soul.

Oh Verne, you will be so missed. I am thinking of your entire family as they navigate this grief. I have many memories of times with you, working for Harvestore, going to auctions with you, or taking drives to Lake City to visit the office there to name a few. You were a wonderful boss and mentor to me. I am grateful for the times I saw you after I left Harvestore, for your phone calls and hugs, and for everything you did for me. You always made me feel valued as an employee. You will be remembered as someone who always did for others, cared about the communities you did business with, large or small, and the immense knowledge you brought to anyone who had the pleasure of working with you or doing business. I'll miss seeing that cowboy hat in a Cadillac driving through Clarksville. You'll be thought of and remembered fondly by me forever, rest in peace.
