Laurence “Pete” N. McLenithan, aged 84 of Middleville, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, surrounded by his family.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  Pete loved football, especially U of M, and casinos.  He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn; children: Debra (Michael) Brice, Peggy McLenithan, Susan (Robert) Dykstra; grandchildren: Kelli (Corey) Schut, Shauna (Jack) Fenton, Lindsey (Dan) Slater, Amanda Hildabrand, Amy (Tom) Goggins, Janine (Jordan) Dekker, Daniel Dykstra, Claudia Dykstra; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Patty) McLenithan; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis (Dick) Gless.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Middleville United Methodist Church, 111 Church Street, Middleville.  Relatives and friends may meet the family at the church on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to TK Alumni Association.
