Lauren Kowalczewski

Lauren Irene Kowalczewski 1947-2020, passed peacefully at home where she wanted to be after a short illness, knowing she was loved and cared for. Lauren was born on July 27, 1947 to Lawrence Adelbert Kowalczewski and Ella Margret Kowalczewski (Hardesty) at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ella, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   Lauren is survived by her sister, Annette, several cousins, friends and her kitty Cassie Ann.  Lauren worked several years for Dexter Lock Ind. as an assembly line worker and at Spartan Stores Inc. in data entry.  Lauren was an intelligent, talented and gentle person, that enjoyed knitting, moderating knitting websites, cooking, collecting lighthouses, was a Red Hat Lady and being part of the Casino Group WHATC.  Lauren enjoyed time spent with her family, friends, casino groupies as well as her time at home and with her kitties, Cassie and Zoe. Lauren was always up for a spur-of the- moment adventure with her sister, Annette, whether taking a ride, going fishing, the casino, shopping or just dinning out.  Lauren was a devoted loving daughter and sister, she loved her family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Anyone who ever met Lauren would comment on her smile, her friendly and sweet personality, Lauren was a great mentor, sister and best friend to me, her sister, Annette. I will forever be grateful for the great person she was, her unlimited patience and understanding.  Lauren was a blessing to her family and people who knew her.  Cremation has already taken place.  A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW Wyoming, MI. Lauren’s family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00AM-11:00 AM prior to the service at Church on Tuesday.  Inurnment immediately following the service at Resurrection Cemetery.
