Remembering Laura Higby

Laura Jean Higby, age 61, of Allendale, completed her earthly journey and is now pain free and home with her Lord and Savior. Laura was a loving wife, sister, and friend who was blessed with a great sense of humor and an independent spirit. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force. Over the years, Laura volunteered her time and talents at Resurrection Life Church. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret Saukas; and her sister, Frances Van Noord. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years, Dave Higby; siblings, Theresa Saukas, Dr. Robert and Yuhong Saukas, Joanne Saukas, Pat and Steve Rapolevich, David and Beth Saukas, Jerry and Michelle Saukas, Tom Saukas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Terry Higby, and Ronald Higby; special friends (family), Dave and Cheri Feldpausch; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Pat Binish officiating. Burial will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to House of Hope through ResLife Church.
