Lafayette Joel Gunter Sr.

Lafayette J.Gunter Sr., age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 29, 2021. Lafayette was a loving husband, dad, and brother who was blessed with a great sense of humor. He was a certified chef in the Grand Rapids area, most recently a kitchen manager at the Riverfront Hotel. Lafayette was blessed as a talented musician and was a promoter for ”Olove” One Man Entertainment Group. He was well known in the entertainment industry and will be missed by many. Lafayette will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Dawanna Gunter; his children, Felicia Belott, Taquasha C. Gunter, Lafayette Kamari Gunter, Destiny Lopez; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Daniel Gunter, Jr., Donald Arnold Gunter, Dirk Gunter, Beretta L. Gunter, Barry Gunter; many loving extended family members.
