Kyle Oaks Jerls, age 14, of Caledonia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 and is now in his heavenly home. Kyle was full of life and had a big heart. He was an 8th grade student at Duncan Lake Middle School and well loved by his teachers and fellow students. He was a passionate dirt biker with District 14 Hill Climbers of MI, and he also enjoyed football, and track. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Emily and Greg Jerls; sister, Sami and her boyfriend, Trey Hagstrom; grandparents: Carol Tolan, Arlene (Gary Grosebeck) Oaks; special uncle, Dave Williams; and many uncles, aunt, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Jerls; grandfathers: Nolan Jerls and Conley Oaks; uncles: Bobbie Jerls, Sam Oaks. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Cornerstone Church 1675 84th St., Caledonia. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Cornerstone Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to help defray funeral expenses or to a suicide prevention organization of your choice. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the support of Caledonia and welcome them to watch the procession from Johnson St. to Maple St. in Caledonia. (Dirt Racers are welcome to meet at the Caledonia High School Football Field immediately following the service with their dirt bikes to lead the procession in town).
