Kyle Corinne “Princess” Petrlich, age 19, of Grandville, fought courageously, but she is now smiling down upon us without hospital walls around her. She is free, no longer struggling, no longer connected to an IV. Though her physical heart did not make it, a piece of it will always be with us, as well as her smile, fight, determination, and love. And certainly, her soul is now with our Lord. She passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. Kyle was a 2015 graduate of Calvin Christian High School. This past fall she was attending GRCC, persuing a degree in early childhood development. She also enjoyed her job at Grandville Christian After School Care. Kyle will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Patrick and Amy; brothers, Griffin and Mitchell; grandparents, Bill and Gwen Baxter, Paul and Alice Petrlich; aunts and uncles and their families: Karen Baxter, Katherine Baxter, Sandra Baxter, Marie and Dave Schultz, Karen Kahl, Joan and Barney Nefcy, Paul and Beth Petrlich. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11 am at Mars Hill Church, 3501 Fairlanes Ave. SW, Grandville. Please use the north entrance to the church (behind Brann’s Steakhouse). Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 4-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. After being a recipient of a donated heart herself, Kyle was able to donate her corneas and tissue, which could help improve the lives of up to 50 people. In her memory, please consider memorial contributions to Gift of Life of Michigan (

Mr. and Mrs. Petrlich and boys,
My sympathies for all of your family during this most difficult time. The greatest peace within is in knowing that Kyle is with our Lord, shining ever so brightly. It is hard to understand why? But God does know what is best for her even though it leaves a big hole in our hearts down here on earth. May God utilize all her talents for His glory. I pray daily for you and your family. I want to thank Kyle for lending her name to my Grandson: Kyle David Sanders. May he have the courage, love and strength that Kyle did show throughout her entire life. Much love and prayers, now and always.
Sincerely,
-Patricia

I want to express to you my deepest sympathy. I worked with Kyle at Calvin Christian in the ESS room. She was always a joy to work with and so sweet. I am thrilled that she knew Jesus and is with Him now! "When we ALL get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!!"
Sincerely, Nyla Velting

Heartfelt sympathy to your family on the loss of your daughter. My twins were in the NICU at the same time Kyle was waiting for her transplant in the PICU. I remember her riding in a wagon and running into you in the cafeteria occasionally. What an incredibly long road. May you be comfortable and held close in the Light.

I wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your precious Kyle. Every Thursday we visited Mott, I looked forward to seeing Kyle's beaming smile and seeing her in the activity room working on her latest art project. That little doggie bank she painted to look to Darla is a very special treasure to me.
May God give your family strength and peace in the days ahead until you are all reunited one day.
