Kurt Edmund Vonder Heide

Kurt Vonder Heide, age 73, of Wyoming, went to the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 30, 2024 after a 7 year battle with dementia.  He graduated from Clearwater High School and Aquinas College.  He retired after many years of service from Modular Trucking.  He enjoyed golfing and landscaping and challenging his mind. He was a longtime member and supporter of the South Alano Club for many years.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Marilyn; son, Karl Vonder Heide and his mother, Gloria; sisters-in-law: Jacqueline (Steven) Luyk, Karen (Terry) Clark; nephews: Brad, Travis, Brian (Nicole), Alex (Darcee); great nephews, Kaileb, Garhett, Jamie, Adrian.  He was preceded in death by his nephew, Steven R. Luyk Jr.  The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the Commonwealth Sweet Memories Team, especially Arlene and Jessica, for their loving care of Kurt.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024  at  Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Roger Groenboom officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 p.m. at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming.  Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
