Kimberly Dawn Elzinga, age 66, of Allendale, was called home by her Heavenly Father       on Friday, September 4, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 23, 1960, to Herbert and Shirley Klomparens.

Kim was the backbone to the family business, Mirage Pool & Spa, for many years. She enjoyed going to the cabin where she enjoyed riding her pontoon, going fishing, hanging out with her girlfriends, going antiquing and snowmobiling. A lifelong member of North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, she faithfully served as the funeral lunch coordinator for many years. Most importantly, Kim’s family was her whole world, and she treasured the many hours spent making memories with those she loved. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert “Herb” Klomparens. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Curtis Elzinga; children, Brandon and Yvonne Elzinga, Tyler and Joanne Elzinga; eight grandchildren, Annabele, Eli, and Leo Elzinga, Nathan Schmitt, Aaron, Tyler, Brandon, and Ryan Rusco; five great-grandchildren, Walker, Zoey, Lacie, Blaire, and Everett; mother, Shirley Klomparens; siblings, Laurie and Al Overweg, Dawn and Dan Cooper, Lanae and Felix Monera; mother-in-law, Elaine Elzinga; sister-in-law, Lisa and Steve Kuiper; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, 7284 Taylor St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Aaron Vriesman officiating. The burial will be held at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale and on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Allendale Christian School.
