Kimberly Castle, age 57, of Comstock Park, battled cancer for a short time and passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 36 years, Todd; children, Matthew (Andrea) Castle, Brayden (Chelsea) Castle, and Rachel (Jonathan) Post; grandchildren, Celia, Lane, Evelyn, and Callie; siblings, Timothy (Deana) Rodel and Beth Rodel; brothers-in-law, Louis (Maribeth) Castle, Kevin (Wendee) Castle, Jeffery (Christie) Castle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Maureen Rodel; parents-in-law, Paul and Judith Castle. Kim was the embodiment of kindness and love — a devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, whose heart was always full for her family.  Her warmth and gentle spirit created a home where everyone felt safe, supported, and unconditionally loved.  Family was everything to her.  She dedicated her life to caring for others, and her greatest joy came from time spent with her children and grandchildren.  Her legacy lives on through each of them — in their laughter, their strength, and the love they carry forward.  She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her quiet strength, and the way she made every person in her life feel deeply valued. Her presence was a gift, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Thursday, July 24 at Our Lady of Consolation, 4865 11 Mile Rd. N.E., Rockford, with Father Dominic Couturier officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-8 pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and an hour prior to the service on Thursday.
