Kevin Lyn Middleton

Kevin Lyn Middleton, age 62, of Lamont, formerly of Kent City, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Kevin was born in Greenville, Michigan, and graduated from Kent City High School in 1975. He was a kind and gentle soul, soft spoken and athletic. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, and was blessed with the gift of music. He played electric bass guitar in several country and polka dance bands. Kevin was a carpenter by trade for several years before sustaining injuries from a car accident in 1990. Following that event, he spent a quiet life with his extended family and friends at Metron of Lamont Nursing Care Facility. Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kristin and Duncan Gervin; granddaughter, Lily Ann Elizabeth Gervin; mother, Marilyn Middleton; father, Barth Middleton; his siblings, Roxanne Middleton, Richard and Julie Middleton, Scott Middleton; mother of daughter Kristin, Ann Williams; aunts and uncles, Opal Waller, Lucille Middleton, Glenda Middleton, Wayne and Marj Dennis, Karen and Doug Workman; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends at Metron of Lamont. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale), 6651 Scott Street, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Inurnment South Casnovia Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Life Enrichment Department at Metron of Lamont. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and caregivers at Blodgett Hospital ICU and Spectrum Health Hospice for the love and compassionate care given to Kevin.
