Kevin Joseph Ogg

Kevin Joseph Ogg, aged 58, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Kevin proudly served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm and the Gulf War. Kevin loved to collect things, especially model Nascars, stamps, coins, comic books and cards. He also had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; father, Joseph Ogg; and nephew, Travis Moore. He is survived by his, mother, Barbara Dawn Goerge; sisters, Deborah (Pat) McKenna, Diane Butkus, Carol Anne Harger; step-daughter, Dawn (Andy) Martin; step-grandchildren, Brianna and Johnathan Martin; nieces and nephews, John Butkus, Luke (Jenna) McKenna, Debbie (Eric) Kennedy, Ruth (Dan) Johncox, Thomas McKenna, Theresa Moore; great nieces and nephews, Cable, Corbin and Xavier Butkus, Liam McKenna, Madelina McKenna, Finley Kennedy, Ava and Jackson Johncox. A Memorial Mass for Kevin will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Relatives and friends may meet the family at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, on Monday from 6-8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to any organization that helps veterans.

A testament to Kevin is that he's remembered by folks who's lives he touched, particularly those he served with. I remember Kevin for his terrific sense of humor coupled with being a terrific yellow shirt. I always smiled when Kevin entered the room !

I had the honor and privilege of serving with Kevin. I was also fortunate enough to meet his Father on a Tiger Cruise. He was a great Shipmate, Friend but most of all person. May all of your hearts be filled filled with knowing he touched so many lives. Oggie- RIP my brother, shipmate and friend.
