Kevin Dale Quist

Kevin Quist, age 60, of Sparta, Michigan, passed away surrounded by love and family on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026. 

Kevin was born to Wanda and Ken Quist in Sparta, Michigan, where he grew up and built lifelong friendships. From an early age, Kevin had a need for speed, hands always ready to fix or tinker with anything he could, and a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed racing go-karts, hunting, and working on projects in his garage, which he proudly called his “man-caves.” His garage was more than just a workspace — it was a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and time spent with friends and family.

Above all else, Kevin’s greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. He cherished every moment with them and loved being their grandpa, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Kevin was known for speaking his mind, telling it like it was, and always being honest and straightforward — qualities that made him unforgettable to those who knew and loved him.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Ken Quist; his brother, Bryan Quist; and his grandmother, Emma Beardsley.

He is survived by his loving mother, Wanda Quist; his brother, Todd (Lorraine) Quist; his former wife, Lisa Quist; his four daughters, Heather (Mike) Fix, Rose Quist, Holly Quist, and Jessica Quist; and his four beloved grandchildren, Mila, Calvin, Ryder, and Jeremiah. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Monday, February 16 at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 660 S. State Street, Sparta with Rev. CJ Den Dulk officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, and at 10-10:45 am on Monday at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kevin’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
