I cried when Doug told me you died Kevin. You have been and your soul will remain in my prayers. When I think of you I think of the Junior High and High School kid that you were. The many nights that you spent at our house as a kid. The times we just sat and talked. You could make me laugh so hard! You were incredibly bright, talented and had a sharp wit. You were a good friend to your friends. You cared deeply about your Family, especially your boys. It hurts that you were so overwhelmed as an adult. I always wanted the best for you. Kevin, I will miss the way you threw yourself full force into what mattered to you. We had a few good online conversations over the past few years, talking of our concerns and our hopes for our nation and those around us. Social media has caused a lot of trouble, as we once discussed, but I am grateful it allowed us to still know each other even just a little bit. I came across that photo of you and some of your classmates from the Halloween you dressed as a member of ICP. I know hearing I still had that once made you smile. It’s been years since we saw each other, but I’ll never forget the inside jokes from high school, the good times we had, and the trouble we got into back then. You definitely had a way of making memories that stuck, man. You’re in stories I still tell to this day. It sucks knowing you’re gone and not out there doing your thing. Rest in peace, Kev.
