Kenneth Thomas Martin, age 79, of Grand Rapids passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Beatrice; siblings, Richard, Earl, and Ilene; special uncle and brother-in-law, David Lee Martin. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Carmen; children, Robert and Anna Martin, Steve and Cindy Martin; grandchildren, Ryan, Kendra, Brandon, Angel, Steven; great grandchildren, Aria, Kenzie, Connor; sister, Bonnie and Thomas Bougie; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ken looked forward to his grandchildren and great grandchildren coming over to visit. He will be dearly missed by all. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from noon-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, January 9 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with John Oleck officiating. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Blodgett 1E and the Spectrum Health Hospice caregivers. Those who wish may make contributions to the staff of Blodgett 1E, 1840 Wealthy St. SE, Grand Rapids 49506.
