Kenneth Harold Schumacher, age 92, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 11, 2023. He retired from Grand Rapids Gravel Company after 38 years. Ken was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He proudly served his country in the Korean War, serving in the 1st Marine Division, 5th Marine Regiment. Ken was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ilene; children, Martin and Suzan Schumacher, Terry and Jacqueline Schumacher, Jim and Marlene Schumacher, Cindy and Phil Cole; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Laura and Brandon Anderson (Liam, Amelia), Michael and Rubi Schumacher, Tara Gibbon, Rochelle Gibbon and Paul Shade, Krista Gibbon, Rachel and Scott Baldwin (Leo, Blake, Zoey), Jennifer and Grant Beach (Teddy), Josh Schumacher, Brian and Maddy Cole, Nathan Cole; sister, Oral Berryhill; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Fowler. A private family farewell was held at MKD Funeral Home.
