Remembering Kenneth Reyes

Kenneth E. Reyes, age 79, of Hudsonville, stepped into glory and met his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife and family. A graduate of Creston High School in 1960, Ken retired from the postal service after 43 years, ending his career as the last postmaster in Jamestown. He cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren, supporting them and attending all their sporting events. Ken’s faith was important to him. He was a faithful servant for many years at his church, Jamestown Baptist, and his passion for serving led him to travel on several mission trips. Some of his interests included fishing and tinkering outdoors with projects. He was a farmer at heart and loved his garden. He will be greatly missed for his smile, wisdom, and gentle kindness. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ann Reyes; brother, Richard Reyes; and stepmother, Bernice Reyes. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Joyce; children, Steven Reyes, Keni Jo (Brian) Hudenko, Bre (Craig) Brown, Beth (Jamie) Brenner, Jake (LaNora) Reyes; grandchildren: Ally, Jacob, Austin, Delaney, Tayah, Lawson, Evan, Logan, Andreas, Baylor, Leighton, Elsie, Caroline, and Alexander; brother, Joseph Michael (Gloria) Reyes; many extended family, friends, and his furry companion, Mae. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Jamestown Baptist Church, 2472 Quincy St. Hudsonville with Pastor Shawn DeJong and Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 4-8 pm at Jamestown Baptist Church as well as one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Starlite Shores Family Camp (www.starliteshores.org).
