Kenneth “Mick” Faber

Kenneth “Mick” Marcus Faber, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, and went to be with his Lord.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Pieternella “Petey” Faber; and his great-granddaughter, Holland Huizenga. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Melania and Steve English, Stephanie and Bud Roerig, Rachel and Chad Versluis, Marc and Morgan Faber; grandchildren, Marisa and Kyle Antuma, Rebecca and Scott Zandstra, Laura and Jordan Alvarez, Rachel Roerig, John and Amanda Versluis, Eric and Samantha Versluis, Jessie and Trey Haidle, Leah and Brandon Huizenga; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Andree; sister-in-law, Nelda Faber; dear friend and companion, Connie DeVries; and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, at LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 107 LaGrave Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Peter Jonker officiating. Burial will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday, February 3, from 5-7 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the  Local Outreach Endowment Fund  at LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church.
