Kenneth James Thomas

Kenneth James Thomas, age 62, of Middleville, was taken from us unexpectedly on Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born March 26, 1962. Ken married the former Jana (Carlson) Thomas and has celebrated 38 years of marriage. They raised two sons, Daniel James Thomas and Matthew Joseph Thomas. Ken’s passion was motocross and he passed that on to his sons. Together, they enjoyed traveling around the state on weekends to participate in racing. Ken was gifted in being able to take things apart, figure out what was wrong, fix it, and put it back together. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Surviving, besides his wife, Jana and their two sons, Daniel and Matthew; his father, Joseph Thomas; a brother, Gary Thomas; a sister, Michele (Gary) Hutchins; mother-in-law, Shirley Carlson; two brothers-in-law, Randall Carlson, Gregory (Renee) Carlson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Belka) Thomas; brother; Michael Thomas; and his father-in-law, Stephen Carlson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft SE, Caledonia. Burial in Ada Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 10:00 am until time of mass at the church. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the needs of the family.
