Kathy Martina

Martina -- Kathy L. (Stockton) Martina (73) of Conklin, MI passed away Tuesday March 3, 2020 after a courageous, year long battle with lung cancer. Kathy was born on October 8th, 1946 in Greenville, MI to John & Beulah Stockton. She was the youngest of four. Kathy attended Greenville High School and soon after started working at Fridgidaire where she was very active in her local union.. Kathy married her soulmate, William Martina on September 21st, 1968, and went on to have two children. Kathy loved a good project. Bill cringed at the word "potential" but between the two of them, they always created something magical. She also enjoyed life at the lake, playing cards, taking road trips, spending time with family, and debating politics. She was insistent on making it to November so she could cast her vote in this year's election,but the good Lord needed her home sooner. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Martina; parents, John Stockton and Beulah Wright; In laws Geno and Matilda Martina and brother Don Stockton. Kathy is survived by her children Gina (Rick) Kruisenga, Jason (Shanda) Martina, grandchildren, Kassidy (Justin) Ferguson, Austin Martina, Kagan Martina; great granddaughter, Sophia & a great grandson due in May. Brother Bill (Becky) Stockton; sister Marilyn (Dick) Crankshaw; sister-in-law, Patty (John) Martina; her Sista's Katie Jamieson and Jane French, and several "adopted" family members she held close to her heart.
