Kathy Honton, age 77, of Kentwood passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024. She was born June 24, 1946 in Grand Rapids. She attended Kelloggsville School and graduated sixth in her class. Kathy was a teacher for many years at Kelloggsville Junior High and later worked for Jackson State Prison as a librarian. She enjoyed reading and watching Jeopardy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Imogene Honton; brother, Charles Honton; sister, Susan Pellerito. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Carole and Robert Richardson; 3 nephews, 2 nieces; 3 great nephews, 4 great nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 12 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will be held at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4-7 pm and Friday 10-11 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to Compass Dog Rescue.
