Kathryn “Kay” Koop

Kathryn “Kay” Koop, age 88, of Jenison, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 23, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Peter; daughter, Karen Joy Curry; five sisters and four brothers.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bruce Koop (Terrie McClure), Dawn and David Briggs; son-in-law, Jim Curry; grandchildren, Alan Koop, Sarah Koop, Tara and Andy Poore, Brooke and Lance McKinney, Tyler VanHoven, Cori and Ellie Briggs, Nicole and Dan Geluso, Dawn Curry, Shannon and Joe Parks; great grandchildren, Hannah, CJ, Emma, Isaac, Nora, Hadley, Hudson; several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday 1:30 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School.
