Kathryn Joan (Ozinga) Bos

Kathryn Joan (Ozinga) Bos went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by Emerson, her husband of 57 years; her parents, Edward and Jennie Ozinga; and her sister, June TerAvest. She is survived by her children, James and Carole Bos, Linda and Jack Dekkinga; her grandchildren, Allison and Andrew Berke, Kevin and Christina Kapteyn Dekkinga, Andrew Dekkinga; her great grandchildren, Anja and Adeline Berke, and Willem Kapteyn Dekkinga. Kay was employed for many years by the Campbell Insurance Agency, from which she retired in 1991. She loved making quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 4 pm Tuesday at Sunset Manor Chapel, 725 Baldwin St, Jenison, with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating. Friends and relatives can meet with the family from 3-4 pm Tuesday at Sunset Manor Chapel prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Manor or to Emmanuel Hospice.

The love and support expressed by the friends and family show how much Kay is missed. I offer my sympathy and condolences to the friends and family and pray that the God of all Comfort and Tender Mercies (2 Cor. 1:3,4) be with you all during this time. May the promises written at Isaiah 25:8. Encourage you. Acts 24:15 gives hope that we could see her again.

Kay was a beautiful lady. I was known as the "pool lady" who would wave and talk to her on Tuesdays when I was doing the water classes at Sunset. In every card I would send to her, I would tell her how her beautiful smile always brightened my day, and that she was always in my thoughts and prayers. I know she is finally resting in peace in God's arms.
