Kathleen Van Riper

Kathleen Rae Van Riper, age 74, ran joyfully into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray D. and Angela E. Van Riper. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Jason Van Riper. Kathy had a kind heart, a forgiving nature, and a smile that lit up the room. She had an unshakable faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends. Her family would like to thank the staff of Sunset Manor and Corewell Hospice for their Christian love, exceptional care and compassion. In addition, special heartfelt thanks go to Angie, R.N. and Brian, M.S.W. for their incredible support as they walked this journey with us. You are truly angels on earth. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Resurrection Life Church, 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW. Burial will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, June 22 from 5-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
