Kathleen Tikkanen

Kathleen Irene Tikkanen, age 64, of Ferrysburg, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Marie-Dean Tikkanen; and her parents, Ralph Dean and Imojene Josephine Woodman. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lon Arthur; children, Barry and Becky Tikkanen, Brandon and Christina Tikkanen, Erin Tikkanen, Cassandra and Michael Gardner, Amanda Tikkanen and Eric Cranley; grandchildren, Braxten, Dusti, Jessica, Zane, Alexia, Damon, Cailean, Mason, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Connor; great-grandchildren, Reign, Faith, and Payton; sisters and brother, Cindy and Jim Vanden Hoek, Randall Woodman, Sandra and Conrad Coipel; and several nieces and nephews. Kathleen loved knitting, crocheting, quilting, cooking and gardening. She also was an avid reader. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, American SIDS Institute or American Lung Association.
