Kathleen Rose Heukels

Kathleen R. (Kay) Heukels, aged 77 of Belmont, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2024, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her best friend and soulmate, Sam King; her daughters, Victoria (Eric) Kuiper, Angela (Mark) DeBoer; grand-daughters, Morgan, and Mickela DeBoer; brother-in-law, Bruce Spencer; Sam’s family, Brian and Brenda King and family, Richard King, Charlie King; many loving nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, Rosco. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Jackie Hancock, Geraldine McCarthy, Patricia Steinhauer, Sue Spencer. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Monday, April 1, 2024 at MKD Stegenga Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont with Chaplain Steve Shick officiating. Burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 12:30-1:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hands of Hope Foundation.
