She enjoyed local politics and served on the Township Commission Board, helping establish a vision for the Kalamazoo area. Kathy also enjoyed gardening and the art of repurposing plates and glassware into beautiful creations of garden flowers. Kathy was a very special lady that brought fun and joy to all those around here. She was dedicated to Hope Church and her Hope family. She loved to tease and children gravitated to her and she often sought them out. She organized the fundraiser for the new metal roof. She also rented a labyrinth for the Church during Holy Week one year to provide an opportunity for personal reflection. She had such a giving heart and we were blessed for knowing her.

We will miss Kathy and all the good times we had as the "Motley Crew," going to church together and then going out to breakfast together and enjoying time at Rick and Mari's beautiful lake home. All the crafts she made us and enjoying time together at church. Thank you to all who took care of her with dignity and caring. She was a special child of God and will be missed by many.
