Kathleen Gregory

Kathleen Ann Gregory, age 68, of Allendale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Jane Lewis; siblings, Kimberly Mullins, Bobby Lewis, and Shawn Lewis; and children, Tara, Joey, and Samuel Gregory. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Sam; children, Renee Gregory, Matthew and Emily Fuller; grandchildren, Kingsten, Livie, Paytynn, and Havyn; sister, Patty Lewis; special nieces, Shannon, Nicole, and Lexi; and several dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kathy and Sam met in high school, and their teenage romance became the love of a lifetime. In the course of their 50-year marriage, they shared their joys, rode their motorcycles, and drew even closer as they mourned the death of three babies. They turned their grief to good by becoming foster parents and for decades opened their home and hearts to children in need. Matthew was one of those children, and they claimed him as their own. She was the rock her sister Shawn leaned on and was always there to support family and friends. Kathy and her daughter, Renee, loved shopping in little towns and hanging out to watch their beloved murder mysteries. She loved to laugh, play cards, and visit the casino. Her true love was watching her four grandchildren grow. She would attend their sporting events and loved to take the girls on shopping trips and to the movies. Kathy was radiant in her love and care for others, and her life made our lives better. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Msgr. Ernie Schneider officiating. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday, February 12 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and on Friday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the future education of her grandchildren.
