STINGER - Mrs. Katherine Marie Stinger aged 65 of Jenison, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father, John LeRoy Chivis Sr.; mother, Gladys Chivis-Davis; brother, John LeRoy Chivis Jr.; sister, Jacqueline A. Pratt; brothers-in-law, Imants Sulainis and Dan Stinger. Surviving are her husband David of 44 years; children, Teresa (Allen) Landreth, Richard (Raele) Stinger and Stephanie Stinger; grandchildren, David William-Witchadaja, Jacob Allen, Samuel Anderson, Luke Ronald, Elizabeth Marie and Olivia Grace; brother, Ronald J. Chivis; sister, Barbara J. Sulainis; brother-in-law, Paul (Joyce) Stinger; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Beighley and Joni Stinger; several nieces and nephews. Katherine was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and attended Resurrection Life Church. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., with Pastor Stephen DeKok officiating. Her family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday from 6 to 8PM and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM.
