Karl Eugene Spielmaker

Karl Eugene Spielmaker, age 89 of Wyoming, passed quietly into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna Spielmaker; brothers, Art, Earl and Bill; sisters, Doris and Marie. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Spielmaker; brother, Robert; sisters-in-law, Debby Spielmaker, Irene Smith, Rena and John Benn; brother-in-law, William and Margaret Robertson; many nieces and nephews. Karl valiantly served his country in the Army Tank Corp during WWII. He was a machinist, making die models at Kelvinator Corp. Karl was an avid model airplane enthusiast, making everything on his planes right down to the small engines . He also enjoyed photography and sailing. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW with Fr. Mike Alber presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. John Vianney Foundation.
