Karen Herrmann

HERRMANN - Karen Ann Herrmann, age 62, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and William Schwarting Jr. Karen is survived by her husband of 38 years, Douglas Herrmann; children, Julie (David) Matheney, Nathan (Lindsey) Hermann; grandchildren, Violet Matheney, William Herrmann, Rebecca Herrmann; brothers, William Schwarting III, Nelson (Susan) Schwarting, Robert (Debby) Schwarting. Karen was active in her church, small group Bible studies including BSF, Sunday school, DAR, and the Pilgrim Society. She was a graduate of Oneonta State University and she taught home economics for many years. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 19 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Her family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
