It was a sad day when we learned of Karen's passing. Karen and Alyce were childhood friends, attended the same church (8th), and were classmates. Karen married Jerry (my room-mate at Hope). 60 years ago they got us together on a blind date--we were married 8 months later. I traveled the nearly 600 miles round trip every other weekend and stayed at the Hendrickson's. Yes, we loved them greatly and are very thankful for their involvement in our lives. We had to miss Jerry's funeral because of snow and we have to miss Karen's because of illness. What a blessing to know we will rejoice with them in heaven one day!

Karen and Jerry raised a wonderful family and they adored them and the kids and grandkids admired and loved them. I remember Karen teaching Sunday School for so many years at Grace Reformed Church of Wyoming. It’s been my privilege to watch them live a great life together. Thanks for being a great family and you know how blessed you are to have had such great Godly parents and grandparents! Rev Bruce R Kuiper
