Karen Catherine Farrell, age 76, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Elva Schneider; brothers, Marv Schneider, Robert Schneider, Wayne Schneider; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Schneider, Gladys Schneider. Karen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bryan and Tatiana Farrell, David Farrell and Kelly Warner, Sheryl and Aaron Shaw; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Schneider-Krulac; her spouse of 32 years, Gerald Farrell, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Karen enjoyed playing card games, board games, completing word vine books or any game that involved competition. Her greatest joy was keeping her family together, particularly dinners at her home and being a safe place for them to find comfort. Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Peter Vu officiating. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, April 26, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
