Remembering Kadie Lynn Price

Kadie Price, age 33, of Pierson, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Kadie was born July 20, 1990 in Saginaw, Michigan, to parents William and Tammy McCool. She graduated from Caro High School in 2008 and completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Grand Valley State University in 2012. During her time at Grand Valley she met the love of her life, Charles, and they were married in June of 2017.

While Kadie was a goal-oriented career woman, her greatest fulfillment and happiness came from being a mom. There was nothing more important to her than spending time with her family; they were her greatest joy and biggest achievement. And even though she was a very social person, she was most content when at home doing what she loved: cooking, decorating, and tending to her plants and flowers. She always had a knack for making a house a home, and thoroughly enjoyed the process of doing so. She also loved shopping and adding to her “collection” of shoes, purses, and clothes. She loved the color pink, anything cheetah/leopard print, and sparkles. But, while she was a girly girl in many ways, she also loved spending time doing all things outdoors with her friends and family. Some of her favorite outdoor activities were riding dirt bikes, fishing, or just enjoying a beautiful day on the water. She was kind, loving, generous, and faithful. Kadie was also a cancer survivor who fought courageously while being a new mother. Kadie will be missed beyond measure by those left to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by one grandmother, three grandfathers, her maternal great grandparents, and three cousins.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Charles; children, Chas (6) and Bella (2); parents, William and Tammy McCool; grandmother, Sherry Richards; sister, Sarah McCool; nephews, Kayden and Marcus Bailey; parents-in-law, Charles and Stacy Price; brothers-in-law, Michael, Nicholas, Philip Price; sister-in-law, Maria Price; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Ada Bible Church (East Paris Campus) 1640 E. Paris SE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Chris Paoni officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, June 12th from 3-8 pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions for the benefit of her two children using the link provided for the GiveSendGo account that has been set up.

I only met Kadie one time and she seemed to be a great person. And I know she was because I know Charlie. I don't know why I was thinking of them today but it brought back a lot of sadness. When I've seen their kids they seemed to be doing great and they are very lucky to have Charley. I'm sure Kadie is looking down and is so proud.

Always remember: when you walk through the storm keep your head up high & don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of the storm is a golden light & the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind. Walk on through the rain though your dreams be tossed & turned. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart & you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone. You have our condolences

Kadie was not only beautiful on the outside, but she was beautiful in spirit. She was a blessing to so many that had the privileges of knowing her and having her be part of their life. I will miss my friend so very much. She loved her family more than anything. You were her reason and her purpose. Lifting you all up in prayer.
