June Ida Amante, aged 87 of Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Gladys McCarthy. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John Amante; children, Sharon (Jack) Dietz, John Amante, Marian Vos, Susan (David) Rinck, Tom (Tami) Amante; grandchildren, Tamara (Jesse) Lopez, Wendy (Andy) Bouwens, Troy Amante, Colleen Amante, Jamie Buckowing, Courtney Berry, Ryan Zmudka, Brandon Zmudka, Alyssa Rinck, Jeremy (Val) Amante, Christina (C.J.) Monsivais, Jennifer (Brent) Wenzel; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. June was a fun-loving mom who was generous and devoted to her family. She was a gifted cook and loved to crochet. She was also a hard worker and retired from Enamelite Industries. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 101 Hall Street SE, Grand Rapids with Fr. Ted Kozlowski presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with a rosary to be held at 7:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
