She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years, Harold Wood; children: Joey (Julia) Orefice, Carmelo Jr. (Patricia) Orefice, Juno (Joanne) Orefice; grandchildren: Tracy, Carmelo III, Victoria, Christina, Tyler, Gianna; great grandchildren: Elayna, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Jenna, Madison, Isaiah, Willem, Leona; great great grandchild, Vincent; sister, Tara Hill Parisi; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Juna was a warm, caring, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended the Trenton School for the Deaf where she was an avid athlete and where she met and married Carmelo. They became Leaders of the Deaf and were very active in the Mt. Carmel Guild. She became an avid bowler in the deaf community well into her 90s and even had a tournament, the Juna V. Orefice Queens Tournament, named for her. Juna was a dedicated loyal employee of the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 30 years, and then moved to Michigan to be near her three sons. It was soon after that she married Harold. She played softball on the Deaf Team and was a scorekeeper for the Faith United Methodist Church team for many years. In retirement she loved to crochet, and she made many, many hats, scarves, and blankets for her family. Juna’s favorite color was purple. In remembrance of her love of purple, it is suggested that friends and family wear something purple.
