Juliah Gabrielle Piazza-Hoelscher, age 31, of Hudsonville, passed away courageously on Thursday, August 6, 2026, following a nine-month health battle. Raised in the Catholic faith and born on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Juliah’s life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, kindness, and joy.

Juliah lived and traveled throughout her life, making memories and friendships in Ohio, Michigan, New York, Colorado, Utah, Illinois, and beyond. Wherever she went, she left a lasting impression. Friends knew Juliah for the smile that was almost always on her face, her kind words, and her generous and loving heart. She had a special ability to bring joy and laughter wherever she went and made people feel welcomed and valued.

Juliah enjoyed reading, coffee shop trips with her mom, shopping and thrifting, music, arts and crafts, and spending time with her friends and family. Juliah also loved spending time with her dad and considered him her best friend too.

She had a lifelong love of The Lion King, and recently had the opportunity to see The Lion King musical—a lifelong dream come true.

Juliah found genuine happiness in contributing to her community through both work and volunteering. Most recently, she worked at Mel Trotter, where she loved helping others. She took great pride in making people feel welcome, and people would often comment on how much they looked forward to seeing her smile and receiving her warm welcome. Through her work and everyday interactions, Juliah made a lasting and thoughtful impression on everyone she met.

Juliah loved nature and the beauty found in the world around her. She took great pride in being the family photographer, capturing special moments and sharing the beauty she saw with those she loved. She especially adored her beloved fur babies—dogs Sophie, Scarlett, Maddie, and Scout, and her cat Figaro—as well as the many beloved pets who came before them.

One of Juliah’s greatest blessings was becoming a Titi to Aubree Lynn, Greyson Robert, Autumn Grayce, Aurora Sage, and Hudson Scott. She adored them beyond measure and was always bragging about them, giving them thoughtful gifts, and spoiling them whenever she could. She was their greatest admirer and an amazing Titi who treasured every moment with them.

Juliah will be remembered most for the pure joy, warmth, and kindness she brought into the lives of others. She truly was an angel on earth. Her beautiful smile, generous heart, and loving spirit will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Johanna and Jason Hoelscher, and Joseph and Liz Piazza; brothers, Joshua Robert Hoelscher, Joseph Nicholas Hoelscher; twin sister, Jordan (Jeff) Braun; sister, Jillianna Hoelscher (Tyler); and  grandmother, Jackie Kitzerow.       

A visitation to celebrate Juliah’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 3-6 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Juliah’s name to the Turner Syndrome Foundation, Harbor Humane Society, or Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital.
