Judy Lynn (Oosse) VanderVeen, age 67, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 10, 2019.  She was born in Grand Rapids and was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School; raised partly in Florida; and spent her summers in the Traverse City Area at Paradise Hollow Resort. Judy spent her professional life as an administrative assistant and enjoyed a fulfilled and blessed life.  She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Oosse.  Surviving are her husband, Robert VanderVeen; children, Sheri and John Hoeksema, Joey Raymond, Robert “Rob” VanderVeen; grandchildren, Ryan Hoeksema, Curtis, Jacob, Summer, and Nikolas Raymond, Lia, Ava, and Elliot VanderVeen; mother, Marie Oosse; sister, Bonnie Wagner; brothers, Gordon and Betty Jo Oosse, Bruce and Jun Oosse; many nieces and nephews; and her special puppy, Snickers. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Interment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday, June 24, from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
