Judith Muse

Judith Jane Muse, 73, of Bemidji, MN passed away on February 12, 2021, at her home after a long battle with a rare illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hiram Muse and Thelma Lee (Ratliff) Muse; brothers, James Hiram Muse Jr. & wife, Dorothy and Ronald Muse; sister, Athalie Williams.  She is survived by her brother, Frank C. Muse and the late, Lynne (Bouchet) Muse and many nieces and nephews.  Judy was born July 2, 1947, in New Castle, Indiana to James Hiram and Thelma (Ratliff) Muse. The family moved to Michigan in 1952. Judy loved spending time with her parents hunting for mushrooms, picking wild berries, fruit, and paw paws. Judy went on to graduate from Big Rapids MI High School and then continued her education for an additional two years of college. She worked for Spectrum Health for many years as a Food and Nutrition Supervisor. Judy loved to travel around the United States.  Her favorite place to go was Nashville, TN, and DollyWood as she loved country music and gospel music. Judy also enjoyed spending time with her double cousins Helen, Vicki, and family who currently live in Florida. Judy loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews and loved taking them to see new things and dote on them. Judy also had an interest in collecting dolls of all kinds. She had quite the collection of dolls that were symbolic of places she'd been and things that she'd done. 

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 8, 2021 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont.  Her family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. A video of the service for Judith Muse is available at https://youtu.be/uGCroLKJkWU
